Kitchen renovation questions

How much does a kitchen renovation cost in London? +

Kitchen renovation costs vary considerably depending on the size of the room, specification, cabinetry, worktops, appliances and whether plumbing, electrical or structural alterations are required.

As a broad guide, and matching the bands our estimator uses: a compact or galley kitchen typically falls around £12,000–£18,000, a standard family kitchen around £18,000–£28,000, and a large or bespoke open-plan kitchen around £28,000–£45,000. Fully bespoke and premium specifications can exceed this.

These figures are indicative rather than a quotation. Every Revivio project is assessed and quoted individually. You can get an indicative estimate for your own kitchen in about a minute.

Can Revivio supply the kitchen as well as install it? +

Yes. We can provide a complete kitchen renovation service and can work with kitchens from manufacturers such as Howdens and Wren, through to premium manufacturers including Ballerina, a German kitchen brand.

Alternatively, if you’ve already purchased your kitchen, we can provide the installation and associated renovation work.

Do you offer fully bespoke kitchens? +

Yes. In addition to modular kitchen systems, Revivio can provide fully bespoke kitchens made specifically for your property.

Rather than being restricted to standard cabinet dimensions, bespoke cabinetry can be manufactured around the exact dimensions and architecture of the room. This is particularly useful in London properties where walls, alcoves and room layouts don’t always suit standard kitchen units.

Cabinetry and doors can also be professionally sprayed in a wide choice of colours and finishes, allowing us to create a genuinely individual kitchen.

Can you renovate the entire kitchen rather than just fit the units? +

Yes. We’re not limited to kitchen fitting.

A complete Revivio kitchen renovation can include removal of the existing kitchen, electrical and plumbing alterations, lighting, plastering, decorating, flooring, carpentry, cabinetry, worktops and final installation.

Sheet F–04 · Bathrooms

Bathroom renovation questions

How much does a bathroom renovation cost in London? +

The price depends on the bathroom size, specification, condition of the existing room and whether the layout or plumbing needs to be changed.

As a general guide, and matching the bands our estimator uses: a compact bathroom, en-suite or cloakroom typically falls around £6,000–£9,000, a standard family bathroom around £9,000–£14,000, and a larger bathroom or wet room around £14,000–£22,000. Major layout alterations, bespoke features and premium finishes sit at the upper end or above it.

This is an indicative range rather than a quotation. We price every bathroom individually once we understand the required specification and scope of work. You can get an indicative estimate for your own bathroom in about a minute.

Which bathroom brands do you work with? +

We work with a wide range of established bathroom manufacturers and suppliers, including Kudos, Harrison Bathrooms, Crosswater, Geberit and Duravit.

For clients looking for a more traditional bathroom design, we can also work with brands such as Burlington.

We’re equally happy to work with products selected by the client and can advise on suitability before installation.

Can you carry out the complete bathroom renovation? +

Yes. Revivio can manage the bathroom renovation from initial strip-out through to completion.

Depending on the project, this can include plumbing, electrical work, preparation, waterproofing, tiling, flooring, carpentry, decorating, sanitaryware installation, lighting and finishing.

We can also install underfloor heating, concealed cistern systems and specialist finishes such as microcement.

Can you create a bathroom without traditional tiles? +

Yes. We can create bathrooms using alternative finishes, including microcement, which can produce a contemporary, seamless appearance with very few joints.

We’ll advise on the correct preparation and waterproofing system for the chosen finish.

Sheet F–05 · Full renovations & flooring

Full renovation and flooring questions

Can Revivio renovate an entire flat or house? +

Yes. Complete property refurbishment is one of our core services.

We coordinate the different trades involved in renovating a property, including kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, carpentry, decorating, plumbing and electrical works.

This means you don’t have to organise several independent contractors yourself.

What types of flooring can you supply and install? +

We can supply and install a wide variety of flooring, including engineered wood, LVT, herringbone flooring and engineered bamboo flooring.

Engineered bamboo can be particularly attractive for clients looking for a more environmentally conscious alternative to some traditional hardwood flooring, while still achieving the appearance and durability expected from a quality floor.

How much does new flooring cost per square metre? +

The cost varies significantly depending on the product, subfloor condition, installation pattern and preparation required.

As a broad guide for a supplied-and-installed project:

  • LVT flooring: approximately £45–£80+ per m²
  • Engineered wood flooring: approximately £70–£130+ per m²
  • Premium engineered, bamboo or herringbone flooring: approximately £90–£160+ per m²

Complex patterns, floor levelling, removal of existing flooring, new subfloors, skirting and other preparation can affect the final price.

We therefore provide a project-specific quotation before any work begins.

Quotes, materials and how a job runs

Do you provide free quotations? +

Yes. We can initially discuss your project and requirements and, where appropriate, arrange a visit to the property.

For larger renovations, drawings, specifications and information about your preferred finishes can help us produce a more accurate quotation.

Can you supply materials as part of the project? +

Yes. We can supply construction materials and, depending on the project, kitchens, bathroom products, flooring and other finishes.

Alternatively, clients can purchase their own products and we can incorporate them into the project, subject to checking their suitability for installation.

Are electrical and gas works carried out by qualified tradespeople? +

Yes. Where specialist electrical or gas work is required, it is undertaken by appropriately qualified tradespeople, with relevant certification provided where required.

How long does a bathroom renovation take? +

A typical complete bathroom renovation generally takes around 2–3 weeks, depending on the size, specification and complexity of the project.

More extensive bathrooms involving significant layout changes, bespoke elements or specialist finishes may require additional time.

How long does a kitchen renovation take? +

A straightforward kitchen installation can be relatively quick, while a complete renovation involving plumbing, electrical work, flooring, decorating, worktops and other alterations will take longer.

We’ll provide an expected programme once the scope of work has been established.

Can I stay in my property during the renovation? +

For many individual kitchen or bathroom projects, yes.

For a complete property refurbishment, however, remaining in the property can sometimes be impractical. We’ll explain which areas will be affected and the expected programme before work starts.

Is Revivio insured? +

Yes. Revivio carries public liability insurance for the work we undertake.

How do I get a quotation? +

Contact Revivio with a brief description of what you’d like to achieve, the property location and, if possible, photographs of the existing space.

For larger renovations, plans, inspiration images or a list of the work you’re considering are also extremely helpful.

We’ll then discuss your project and advise on the next steps.
